The New Zealand Commerce and Industry Office (NZCIO) in Taipei and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Wellington made a joint announcement saying that both sides agreed to launch the respective feasibility studies.

NZCIO and TECO issued a joint press release, announcing the completion of respective feasibility studies and launch of a joint feasibility study.

3.2012/05/18：

NZCIO and TECO issued a joint press release, announcing the launch of negotiations.

4.2013/07/10：

Both sides signed the ANZTEC.
