Legal Basis:
Article 8 of the “Qualifications and Criteria Standards for Foreigners Undertaking the Jobs Specified under Article 46.1.1 to 46.1.6 of the Employment Service Act” (hereinafter referred to as the standard).

Announcements:
1.The minimum amount of average salary for foreigners employed to engage professional and technical jobs shall be no less than NT $47,971, provided that any of the events listed below is excluded:
(1).The research assistant employed by public or certified private colleges (or above) or academic institutions to undertake projects, whose monthly salary is above the bachelor or master degree and at first-year level set out under “National Science Council Reference Scale of Grants for Full-time Research Assistant Undertaking Project” announced by the Ministry of Science and Technology (before the restructuring of the National Science Council).
(2).Foreigners whose average salary is above NT $37,619 obtained the extension of the employment permit based on the notice of Ministry of Labor (before the restructuring of the Council of Labor Affairs) dated June 14, 2012 (Ref. Lao-Zhi-Gui-Zi-1010512093).
(3).Foreigners who are eligible for the qualifications of Article 5.1 of the standard.
2.The notice of the Ministry of Labor (before the restructuring of the Council of Labor Affairs) dated June 14, 2012 (Ref. Lao-Zhi-Gui-Zi-1010512093) shall cease to apply on this day.
