1. According to the official announcement by the
Ministry of Labor per Order Lao-Dong-Fa-Guan-Tzu
No. 10605154981 on August 14, 2017, foreigners
employed in specialized and technical works whose
monthly salary shall not be lower than the average
monthly salary published by the central competent
authority. Currently, the amount of the salary
standard is NTD 47, 971. However, the followings
are excluded:
(1) For those full-time research assistants of research projects implemented by public or registered private colleges or above or academic research institutes, average monthly salary should be more than NTD 31,250 for bachelor degree, NTD 36,050 for master degree.
(2)Started the school year of 2012, graduated foreign students, and overseas Chinese students of public or registered private universities or colleges whose average monthly salary is over NTD 37,619.
(3)Graduated foreign and Overseas Chinese students who meet the qualification of the Selection Program.
2. For spouses of foreign professionals (under
subparagraphs 1 to 6, paragraph 1, article 46 of the
Employment Service Act) taking partly-hours
specialized or technical works or as the Director or
Manager of an Approved Business Invested or
Established by Overseas Chinese or Foreigner(s), the
minimum wage is 200 NTD per hour.
3. According to article 4 of The Qualifications and
Criteria Standards of the Employment of Foreign
Professionals Engaging in Professional Knowledge
or Skills for Short-term Supplementary Learning
Centers, those who engage in professional knowledge
or skills teaching jobs shall have the monthly wages of 47,971 NTD.
