1.A foreigner that is employed to work in Taiwan shall first sign an employment contract with said company (employer). The foreigner may work in the Taiwan region only after the employer has prepared all necessary documents to apply for permit from the Ministry.
2.For an employer applying to employ a foreigner to work in Taiwan, if the foreigner is outside Taiwan after the Ministry has issued the employment permit, the foreigner should then head to an overseas ROC representative office to apply for a work permit and after entry into Taiwan, he or she should then apply for an ARC from the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior. If said foreigner is already in Taiwan and has entered Taiwan with a valid visa, the foreigner may apply for an ARC at the various service centers of the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior; if it was a visa-exempt entry, he or she must first apply for a visa renewal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before applying for ARC at the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior.
