Subject: The Ministry hereby announced that it will commission the Council of Labor Affairs, Executive Yuan to manage the application forms, the application fee and the minimum wage of foreigners to be engaged as legal assistants or consultants hired by lawyers.

Merit: 
1. Article 4,5 &17 of the Regulations on the Permission and Administration of the Lawyer Employ Foreigners to Engage in Legal assistant or Consultants .
2. Article 5 of the Charges And Fees Act. 
3. Article 15 of the Administrative Procedure Act.

Announcements:

  1. The application fee of foreigners to engage in legal assistant or consultants hired by lawyers had commissioned the Council of Labor Affairs, Executive Yuan to manage since December 30, 2005 by the Ministry
  2. The minimum salary for foreigners hired as legal assistants or consultants, is comparable to the average minimum monthly salary for foreigners hired to perform professional and technical jobs announced by the Council of Labor Affairs, Executive Yuan.
  3. Lawyer hired foreigners to engage in the job of legal assistant or consultants should fill out the following two forms “Application Form of Work Permit for Employing Foreign Professionals” and “List of Hired Foreign Workers.”
  4. The Announcement of the Ministry dated December 30, 2005 (Ref. Fa-Jian-Jue-Zi No.0940805430) shall cease to apply on June 14, 2012.
